General Terms and Conditions – Het Adres
Last updated: 19/06/2026
Welcome to Het Adres. These general terms and conditions explain the agreements that apply when you use our website or place an order through www.hetadreswebshop.nl.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these general terms and conditions.

2. Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to every offer made by Het Adres, to the use of our website and to every order placed through our website.
These terms and conditions apply to consumers and business customers unless expressly stated otherwise in these terms and conditions.
A consumer is a customer who is not acting on behalf of a company, profession, organisation or institution.
A business customer is a customer who places an order on behalf of a company, organisation or institution, or who acts in the course of a trade or profession.
By placing an order, you declare that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian.
Any departure from these general terms and conditions is valid only if we have confirmed it in writing.
Het Adres may amend these general terms and conditions. Amendments do not apply to orders that have already been placed. The most recent general terms and conditions can be found on our website.
3. Offers, products and prices
We do our best to display and describe our products as clearly as possible. Slight differences in colour may occur, for example due to screen settings or the lighting used for product photographs.
All consumer prices include VAT and exclude delivery charges unless otherwise stated.
Prices for business customers may be shown exclusive of VAT where this is clearly stated on the website, quotation or invoice.
Delivery charges are clearly shown at checkout.
We may change prices, promotions and product information. This does not affect orders that we have already confirmed.
Obvious errors or mistakes are not binding. This includes a clear typographical error in a price or in product information. If there is an obvious error, we may cancel the order. We will then refund any amount already paid.
An offer remains valid while it appears on the website and while stocks last.
4. Ordering and payment
Once you place an order, we will send you a confirmation by email.
You are responsible for entering your details correctly, including your name, address, email address and delivery address.
You can pay using the payment methods offered at checkout. These may include iDEAL, PayPal, credit card, Klarna or another available payment method.
Additional terms and conditions from the payment provider may apply when you pay later. These terms and conditions are shown at checkout.
If you do not pay on time, we will first send you a reminder. For consumers, debt collection costs will only be charged after the statutory payment period following a formal payment demand has expired.
A different payment term may apply to business customers, depending on the agreements made. If a business customer does not pay on time, statutory interest and debt collection costs may be charged.
5. Delivery and shipping
We usually dispatch orders that are in stock within 2 working days, unless a different delivery time is stated on the product page or at checkout.
Orders within the Netherlands with an order value of €30 or more are delivered free of charge unless otherwise stated. For orders below this amount, we charge €4.95 for delivery.
For international deliveries, delivery charges are shown at checkout.
Delivery times are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a fixed delivery date with you.
We do our best to dispatch your order on time. If an order is delayed, we will inform you as soon as possible.
For consumers, we bear the risk of loss or damage until the order has been received by you or by a third party appointed by you.
For business customers, the risk passes when we hand the order over to the carrier, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Business customers must inspect the delivery immediately upon receipt. Damage, defects or incorrectly delivered items must be reported to us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of receipt.
6. Uncollected parcels and failed delivery
If an order cannot be delivered or is not collected from a parcel collection point, the parcel may be returned to us.
In that case, we may charge you the direct return costs charged by the carrier.
If you would then like the order to be sent again, new delivery charges may apply.
These costs will only be charged to the extent permitted by law and if they have been clearly communicated to you in advance.
7. Right of withdrawal and returns
Consumers making an online purchase have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the day on which they receive the order.
During this period, you may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, unless a statutory exception applies.
Once you have notified us of your withdrawal, you have a further 14 days to return the item.
In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, we offer an additional returns service for 30 days after you receive your order. This means that you have 30 days after receiving your order to register a return. The conditions in our returns and right of withdrawal policy apply to this additional returns service.
You can register your withdrawal or return using the withdrawal button or returns form on our website. You can also contact us at info@hetadreswebshop.nl.
From 19 June 2026, our website provides a clear digital withdrawal function. You can use this to exercise your right of withdrawal during the statutory cooling-off period.
After submitting a withdrawal through our website, you will receive a confirmation by email.
You are responsible for the cost of returning your order, unless otherwise agreed with you.
As a service, we may offer a return label at a rate stated in advance. You are not obliged to use it.
If you use a carrier of your choice, always keep proof of postage until we have processed your return.
Please handle the item and its packaging with care. You may inspect and assess the item as you would in a shop.
The item must be returned complete. Where reasonably possible, please return it in its original packaging and with any labels still attached.
If an item has been used more than necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and operation, we may deduct an amount for its diminished value.
The following items cannot be withdrawn from or returned, unless they are incorrect, damaged or defective:
-
personalised products
-
products specially made to measure
-
sealed products that are unsuitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, where the seal has been broken after delivery
-
gift cards, to the extent that their exclusion is permitted by law
Discounted and sale items are not automatically exempt. The statutory right of withdrawal also applies to these items.
Business customers do not have a statutory right of withdrawal unless otherwise agreed in writing. This applies to orders placed by or on behalf of a company, organisation or institution, where the customer is acting in the course of a trade or profession.
Business orders may only be returned after prior consultation and with the written approval of Het Adres. This does not apply if an item has been delivered incorrectly or is damaged or defective.
Items purchased or ordered specifically for a business order cannot be returned unless otherwise agreed with us.
8. Refunds
In the event of withdrawal, we will issue the refund no later than 14 days after receiving your notice of withdrawal.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned item.
We will issue the refund through the same payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise with you.
If you return the entire order, we will also refund the standard delivery charge for the original shipment, if you paid it.
Additional costs for a more expensive delivery method than our standard delivery method will not be refunded.
If you return only part of your order, the original delivery charge will not be refunded.
It may take several working days for the refund to appear in your account. This varies by bank or payment method.
9. Exchanges
Would you like to exchange an item? The quickest way is to return the item and place a new order for the item you want.
An exchange is not final until the new order has been placed and paid for.
10. Damage, incorrect item or defect
Check your order immediately after receipt.
If you have received a damaged, defective or incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible at info@hetadreswebshop.nl.
Please include your order number and photographs of the item and its packaging. This will help us promptly find a suitable solution with you.
Depending on the situation, this may include repair, replacement, subsequent delivery or a refund.
11. Guarantee
The statutory guarantee applies to consumers. This means that a product must perform as you may reasonably expect.
If a product is not satisfactory, we will seek a suitable solution. Depending on the situation, this may include repair, replacement or a refund.
For business customers, only the manufacturer's guarantee applies unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The guarantee does not cover damage caused by improper use, normal wear and tear, careless maintenance or damage occurring after the item has been received by the customer.
12. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us at info@hetadreswebshop.nl.
Describe your complaint as clearly as possible and include your order number if it concerns an order.
We aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days.
If this does not result in a solution, as a consumer you can seek information from a competent consumer advice body, such as the European Consumer Centre.
13. Liability
For consumers, our liability is limited to loss or damage for which we are liable by law.
For business customers, our liability is limited to the invoice value of the order to which the loss or damage relates.
We are not liable to business customers for indirect loss or damage, consequential loss or damage, loss of profit, loss of savings or business losses.
These limitations do not apply in the event of intent or gross negligence on the part of Het Adres.
14. Privacy and cookies
We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
You can find more information in our privacy policy and cookie policy on our website.
15. Force majeure
In the event of force majeure, we are temporarily relieved of our obligations.
Force majeure means circumstances beyond our control, such as outages, strikes, fire, natural disasters, supplier problems, transport problems or other circumstances that temporarily make delivery impossible.
If the force majeure event lasts longer than is reasonable, both you and we may terminate the contract. In that case, we will refund the amount paid for products that have not yet been delivered.
16. Retention of title
The products remain the property of Het Adres until the order has been paid for in full.
This applies to the extent permitted by law.
17. Intellectual property
All text, photographs, images, logos and other content on our website are the property of Het Adres or our suppliers unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, use or distribute this content without our written permission.
18. Governing law and disputes
These general terms and conditions and all agreements with Het Adres are governed by Dutch law.
Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands unless the law designates another court.
Consumers always retain the protection afforded to them by mandatory consumer law in their own country.
19. Questions
If you have any questions about these general terms and conditions, please contact us at info@hetadreswebshop.nl.
