How do you use a WoodWick candle?

Light your WoodWick candle and let it burn for at least 1 hour. For the best fragrance experience, let the candle burn for 3 to 4 hours.

How long should a WoodWick candle burn?

A candle from the WoodWick brand should burn for at least 60 minutes. For optimal fragrance, we recommend letting the candle burn for 3 to 4 hours.

What to do with empty WoodWick candles?

An empty WoodWick candle jar can be perfectly reused as a storage jar! Once the candle is finished, you can clean it out with our tips. 1. Remove the layer of wax from the jar with a fork or small knife. 2. You can get the remaining wax out by melting it—just place the jar in warm water. 3. Clean the glass WoodWick jar with a paper towel and a little cleaning agent.

How many burn hours does a WoodWick candle have?

A candle from the WoodWick brand has between 20 and 130 hours of burn time, depending on the size. The burn times are as follows: Large 130h / Ellipse 50h / Medium 60h / Small 20h. These burn times are achieved if you follow the WoodWick instructions, but there are always external factors that can influence the burn time.

General instructions for using WoodWick candles:

- Make sure to let the candle burn for at least 1 hour, but for the best fragrance, 3 to 4 hours is recommended.

- Place the burning candle on the lid to protect your surface from damage.

- It’s very important with WoodWick candles not to let the wick get too long. It’s best to trim it to 0.5 mm above the candle for optimal burning (this does not apply to the HearthWick Ellipse model).

- How do you trim the WoodWick? First, let the candle cool and harden completely, then gently break off pieces of the wooden wick with your finger until it’s the right length.

- How do you prevent your candle from tunneling? Tunneling happens when the candle isn’t burned properly, causing the wick to burn down and leaving a rim around the candle. To prevent this, it’s important to let the candle burn for at least 1 hour so the wax melts evenly and becomes one smooth surface again.

- Only put the lid back on the candle once it has completely cooled and solidified.
